DC- The ITC voted this morning to delay its final vote on shrimp tariff injury claims until 3 PM today, East Coast Time, to give the commission a chance to consider the impact of the Tsunami disaster on the imposition of shrimp tariffs.

The vote was 5 -1.

Many in the industry had expected that the ITC would vote to uphold injury, and the delay was a surprising development. Normally the commission votes are quite routine and happen very quickly.

The Commission will reconvene at 3 PM today to take another vote.
